COLONIAL PARK >> Four different players got in on the scoring for Chambersburg's field hockey victory against Central Dauphin East on Thursday afternoon.

The Trojans put up three goals in the first half and added a pair of insurance scores to defeat the Panthers, 5-0, for their first Mid Penn Commonwealth Division victory.

"It was good to get the win and score goals, but it wasn't pretty," Chambersburg coach Jen Amsley said. "The girls got frustrated with the level of play, but got the 'W.'"

Brittany Layman got the scoring started for the Trojans (2-1, 1-1 MPC). Madison Schmus made the initial shot, and Layman picked up the rebound and put it in.

Liza Ernst led Chambersburg with a pair of goals and an assist, while Kaylea Garman and Sage Piper each scored once.

The Trojan defense held CD East without a shot or a penalty corner.

GREENCASTLE-ANTRIM 3, SHIPPENSBURG 2 >> Despite being down 2-0 after the first half, Greencastle-Antrim came out of the locker room with a vengeance and earned a Mid Penn Colonial Division victory over Shippensburg.

The Lady Hounds (0-1, 0-1 MPC) got a goal and an assist from Zoe Holtry in the first half, and Madison Kline also scored once.

"We were certainly not ready for the first half of the game today, and it showed," G-A coach Becca Farson said. "However, after a tough halftime talk, the spark we needed came alive."

Greencastle (1-2, 1-0 MPC) immediately got things going, tying the score at 2-2 just five minutes into the second half. Jean Hart had a hand in all three goals, finishing with a goal and two assists. Racheal Marconi scored a pair of goals.

"Jean had her stick in every play and was feeding the ball to Rachael," Farson said. "Racheal kept a cool head in the circle and delivered two hard-earned goals that gave us the momentum for the final minutes and our last goal."

FORBES ROAD 7, BELLEVILLE MENNONITE 0 >> Forbes Road found a way to solve Belleville Mennonite goalie Molly Morgan in the second half and scored a 7-0 Keystone League victory.

McKenzie Gelvin scored twice in the first half for the Cardinals (3-0, 2-0 KL) and that 2-0 lead stood at halftime. In the second half, five different players scored – Kiersten Cline, Mara Broadwater, Lydia Chagoya, Brittany Truax and Malea Truax. Cline had three assists, and Brittany Truax, Mina Wilt and Broadwater each had two.

Forbes Road coach Carol Cline said, "I think the kids started out like they were still playing in yesterday's game (a 17-0 win), but today was a different team. It took us a while to connect passes and their goalkeeper was very good."

Morgan made 33 saves as the Cardinals out-shot the Trojans, 47-1.
