FIELD HOCKEY: Tuesday's roundup, Chambersburg falls to Central Dauphin in tough battle

LINGLESTOWN >> Chambersburg's field hockey team battled all game against Central Dauphin on Tuesday, but a 30-second lapse allowed the Rams to pull away.

With less than three minutes left in the first half, Bailey Lowe scored to give CD a 1-0 lead. Thirty seconds later, Zaryiah Green made it 2-0 with another score. The Trojans (1-1, 0-1 MPC) managed just two shots.

"It was another great team effort in some hot conditions," Chambersburg coach Jen Amsley said. "Our plan was to pack it in on defense and try to break our two forwards free to catch CD off guard, and it was successful. The girls gave a great effort and executed the game plan very well."

Ariana Burke finished with nine saves in goal for the Trojans.
