SHIPPENSBURG SWEEPS JAMES BUCHANAN >> The girls meet between Shippensburg and James Buchanan couldn't have been much closer – the Lady Hounds won 76-74 by taking first place in the final event, the 4x400 relay, by a tenth of a second. Ship's boys racked up a 104-46 victory.

In the final girls relay, Shippensburg's team of Morgan Wendle, Natalie Nye, Maddie Bender and Leah Fleming ran a time of 4:24.80 to edge JB's Tristen Amsley, Emma Wise, Micki Heinbaugh and Hailey Alger, who finished in 4:24.90.

For Ship (2-2, 2-2 MPC), Marissa Musser (100, 200), Ava Franklin (1600, 3200) and Natalie Nye (400, 800) were double winners, while for the Rockets (1-1-1), Jenna Carbaugh (100 and 300 hurdles, high jump) captured three wins and Heinbaugh won the long and triple jump.

The Hound boys (4-0, 4-0 MPC) did not have a multiple winner, but Zach Greenawalt raised his own school record in the pole vault (13-7) for the fourth time in his last five competitions. For JB (1-2, 1-2 MPC), Peter Hughey won the 100, 200 and 400 and anchored the winning 4x400 relay to a win.
