Outlook: Beegle said, "I know the guys want to get back to states, and that's a very lofty goal. I think we can be competitive in the league, but our doubles teams are going to have to step up their game. The guys are pushing each other, though, and they want to move up the ladder and play. I would like to make it back to team districts and ultimately states; I think we can make noise at Mid Penns and manage to get some of our seniors to districts for singles and doubles."

Notes: This is Beegle's largest roster in her tenure, with 19 ... Seven freshmen are on the roster, as well as foreign-exchange student Erkes ... Chance Wishard was the biggest loss to graduation, and Hunter Sowers did not return to the team ... JB is coming off its best season in history, earning its first-ever team win at districts and its first-ever trip to the PIAA tournament last year.

Season opener: Thursday, at home vs. East Pennsboro, 4 p.m.
