BOYS TENNIS: Friday's roundup

MERCERSBURG 7, KISKI 0 >> Mercersburg Academy's boys tennis team dominated its last match of the season in a sweep over non-league foe Kiski on Friday.

The Blue Storm, who end their season at 12-4, went into three sets in just two singles matches, and the doubles teams didn't allow their opponents to win more than two games.

"I am glad that each player was able to win his last match of the season," Mercersburg coach Eric Hicks said. "I couldn't have asked for better play from these guys than what they gave me in the second half of the season."

Elliot Hicks needed three sets at No. 1 singles, losing the first set 4-6 before bouncing back for a 6-4, 10-7 win. Shayan Ghodsi also needed three sets, winning 6-1, 5-7, 10-3. Saaman Ghodsi, Teddy Schoeck, John Huang and Alec Jones also won singles matches, and they were all part of the winning doubles teams.
