JOHN HANDLEY 6, MERCERSBURG 1 >> John Handley gave Mercersburg Academy all it could handle in a non-league victory on Thursday afternoon.

Although there were several tightly-contested matches, the Blue Storm (3-2) managed only victory.

"Handley played better in second sets than we did, and that was the difference," Mercersburg coach Eric Hicks said. "They are a fine team, and we will make adjustments to play tougher down the stretch next time we play them."

John Huang picked up the only point for Blue Storm. He won a three-set match at No. 4 singles.
