BOYS TENNIS: Tuesday's roundup


CHAMBERSBURG 3, CENTRAL DAUPHIN EAST 2 >> Chambersburg's boys tennis team suffered losses at Nos. 1 and 2 singles but still managed to beat CD East on Tuesday for a Mid Penn Commonwealth Division victory.

The Trojans (5-2, 3-0 MPC) got a hard-fought victory from Jay Padalia at No. 3 singles. After falling 6-2 in the first set, Padalia answered with a narrow 7-5 win to push it to a decisive third set, which he easily won, 6-1.

"Jay demonstrated tremendous mental toughness to come back and win the second set," Chambersburg coach Brad Hill said. "With quick footwork, consistency and intelligent shot choices, Jay confidently won the third set."

Both of Chambersburg's doubles teams earned victories.
