F-F H.S. Highlights: Forbes Road earns 1st win

Forbes Road picked up its first win of the season with a Sideling Hill League defeat of Northern Bedford.

The Cardinals (1-5, 1-4 SHL) had scored just three goals in their first five games of the season, and they matched that Wednesday night. Lane Kendall opened the scoring just 10 minutes into the game, but by halftime, the Panthers had knotted the scoreboard.

Forbes Road scored two unanswered goals in the second half to gain the win. Less than two minutes into the frame, Aaron Schepis found Cameron McCabe for the go-ahead goal, and Schepis finished it off with an insurance goal midway through the second half. Owen Gilbert finished with a trio of saves for the Cardinals.

Southern Fulton 4, Chestnut Ridge 2: After a scoreless first half, Southern Fulton exploded for four goals in the second half of a Sideling Hill League victory versus Chestnut Ridge.

The Lions struck first, but Southern Fulton (4-2, 3-1 SHL) immediately answered with back-to-back goals form Cam McCray. Casey Spade then added another goal before Chestnut Ridge found the back of the net once more. Jeremiah Ashkettle also scored with three minutes remaining to ensure the victory.

McCray, Chris Wilson, Chase Varner and Benji Voight were all credited with assists.

Everett 4, Fannett-Metal 2: Dylan Seibert had a goal and an assist for Fannett-Metal, but it wasn't enough to overcome Everett in a Sideling Hill League loss. Kyler Goshorn also netted a goal for the Tigers (3-3, 2-2 SHL).
