BOYS SOCCER: Thursday's roundup, Greencastle-Antrim shuts out James Buchanan, 4-0

GREENCASTLE >> The boys soccer game started out slow for Greencastle-Antrim, but it turned up the heat in the second half, defeating James Buchanan, 4-0, on Thursday night in Mid Penn Colonial Division action.

Caleb Hurley got the scoring started for the Blue Devils (11-3, 9-1 MPC), but it didn't come until the 30th minute of play. Shawn Keller, Avery Wenger and Brandon Stuhler all recorded second-half goals.

"It's hard to play JB because they play us tough no matter what," Greencastle coach Scott Gelsinger said. "That first goal got us going, then we came out in the second half and started passing the ball around a lot better. We were scoring more on our opportunities."

Ryan Yoder led a strong defense that held the Rockets (0-14-1, 0-9 MPC) without a shot or a corner kick.

JB goalkeeper Sean Martin finished with three saves.
