CUMB. VALLEY CHRISTIAN 4, BROADFORDING 2 >> Cumberland Valley Christian scored a pair of goals in the last nine minutes of the game to break a 2-2 tie and defeat Broadfording in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference boys soccer game on Friday afternoon.

Jackson Park broke the tie in the 71st minute on an assist from Eric Woo, and Park assisted on an insurance goal by Sterling Bard eight minutes later.

In the first half, Park and Woo combined for both goals, with each hitting the net and getting an assist.

"Jackson and Eric really did a good job up today," Blazers coach Stan Hott said. "And Spencer Propst and Grant Carter both helped pick up the defense."

Christian Hott had 12 saves for CV Christian (1-1, 1-0 MDCC).

SHALOM CHRISTIAN 3, FAITH CHRISTIAN 3 >> Shalom Christian fought until the bitter end with Faith Christian, but the teams ended in a draw in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference contest.

The Flames (1-0-1, 1-0-1 MDCC)) were led by Chase Martin, who scored a pair of goals and recorded one assist. Peter Livermore also had a tally for Shalom.

"We played well and really controlled the ball in the midfield," Flames coach Chris Lehman said. "Our midfielders hustled all game long and especially during overtime. Also, credit Faith for playing great defense. It was a well-fought game on both ends."

Travis West and Micah Lehman split four saves evenly for Shalom.
