BOYS SOCCER: Tuesday's roundup

SHALOM CHRISTIAN 6, HERITAGE 1 >> Shalom Christian got its boys soccer season off to a strong start, dominating Heritage 6-1 in a Mason Dixon Christian Conference victory.

The Flames (1-0, 1-0 MDCC) started relatively slow and took a 2-1 lead going into halftime. But they exploded for four goals in the second half and out-shot Heritage 31-3 in the victory.

"It was a good start in the division for us," Shalom coach Chris Lehman said. "The guys played very well, we had good ball movement and the defense was solid."

Peter Livermore and Jonah Stains both had two goals for the Flames, and Tanner Gibble and Chase Martin also scored.
