Boys lacrosse

STATE COLLEGE 11, CHAMBERSBURG 2 >> State College scored four goals in each of the middle two quarters en route to a convincing Mid Penn Conference victory over Chambersburg.

Jake Pierson scored both of the goals for the Trojans (4-7, 3-7 MPC) with assists from Grant Swisher and Jace Hopple. But the Trojans managed only nine shots on goal, compared to 26 for the Little Lions.

Nate Bradshaw collected 15 saves in net for Chambersburg.

Girls lacrosse

STATE COLLEGE 16, CHAMBERSBURG 0 >> Chambersburg simply couldn't handle the offensive prowess of State College in a Mid Penn Conference loss.

The Trojans (3-9, 1-7 MPC) managed only three shots on goal, while the Little Lions had four players finish with a hat trick or better.

"State College came out strong," Chambersburg coach Katie Feairheller said. "Our defense was able to work together to make State College work for their goal opportunities, but we had five or six missed opportunities by the attack."

Liza Ernst scooped up four groundballs, while Kendyl Stewart had two. Alyssa Boock stopped four shots in the Trojan goal.
