BOYS LACROSSE: Thursday's roundup, Chambersburg dominates CD East, 15-0

CHAMBERSBURG 15, CD EAST 0 >> After a poor offensive performance against Hershey, Chambersburg's boys lacrosse team righted the ship with a convincing Mid Penn Conference victory over Central Dauphin East on Thursday evening.

It was just the second shutout in program history for the Trojans (2-2, 2-2 MPC).

"It's nice to be at .500 now, and it was definitely a change of events since Tuesday," Trojan coach Paul Flohr said. "We started out really slow and lethargic, but we finally woke up in the second quarter. It was nice to move the ball around some, and credit to CD East, they play a zone defense, and their kids just don't stop."

Jake Pierson led Chambersburg's offense with five goals, while Grant Swisher netted four and dished out three assists. Jace Hopple notched two goals, while Collin Bricker scored a goal and had five assists.

"We brought up Jace Hopple from JV, and he had two goals on two shots," Flohr said. "I think that gave him a little confidence to be able to help us out on attack."
