SHIP BOYS PICK UP A WIN >> Although Susquenita got the best of Shippensburg's cross country teams on Thursday, the Greyhound boys team earned a victory over Biglerville, 20-39.

Susquenita edged the boys, 27-28, and defeated the girls 24-32.

Hunter Kent led the boys (1-1) by taking third place in a time of 18:07. For the girls (0-1), Cat Crochunis-Brown had the best time, finishing in 22:34, which was good enough for third overall.

Also competing were a few runners from Shalom Christian. Josh Coldsmith was the top boy for the Flames, taking fifth overall in 18:15. Brooke Emge earned a second-place finish for the girls with a time of 21:31, and Emily Martin earned fifth in 22:59.

SOUTHERN FULTON BOYS SWEEP >> Southern Fulton got off to a strong start, with the boys picking up a pair of victories.

The Indians (2-0) defeated Meyersdale, 15-49, and Turkeyfoot Valley, 17-43, and while the girls did not have any team scores, Southern Fulton had eight of the top 10 finishers.

Fannett-Metal's Steven Glodek had a dominating victory in the boys race. He finished in 19:24, more than a minute ahead of anyone else. Southern Fulton's Chase Varner (20:42) and Jonah Golden (20:56) rounded out the top three.

On the girls side, Emily Bradshaw was the top runner for the Indians. She was second in 27:50, and she was followed by Madison Baker in 28:01.
