It seemed like there wasn't an empty seat in the house for Friday night's Mid Penn Colonial Division clash between Shippensburg and Greencastle-Antrim.

The environment never seemed to settle, even as the Blue Devils pulled away and defeated the host Greyhounds, 72-51.

On Friday, Shippensburg hosted its annual Red Out to raise money for the American Heart Association. It raffled off basketballs, hosted a 50-50 and held a half-court shot contest at halftime.

Ship's Maroon Platoon was out in force, clad in all red, and despite the game getting away from them, the Greyhound faithful was animated and exuberant until the final buzzer.

Matching them on the opposite side of the gymnasium was Greencastle's Devils Den, in an all-black get-up.

"Our student section was unbelievable tonight," Lewis said. "Our fans were just amazing. I kept telling the guys - I really begged them, actually - to look around and soak this in. You only go around once, and this was just a fantastic atmosphere."

In fact, after Lewis exited the locker room after the big win, he thanked the student section and asked them to return in full force for G-A's matchup with Waynesboro on Tuesday night.
