Close call

Fannett-Metal made a furious comeback in the fourth period, but fell just short of completing it against Southern Fulton on Wednesday night.

The Indians prevailed 70-66 in a Sideling Hill League and Inter-County Conference girls contest. Southern Fulton finished its regular season, while F-M has one game left. Playoff pairings will be announced by District 5 on Sunday.

For SF, Emily Bradshaw poured in a career-high 24 points, while Drew Hann knocked in 17 and Madison Baker chipped in 12 points, which was also a career-high output. Lindsey Hollinshead corralled 15 rebounds and also had nine assists.
