F-F Highlights: So. Fulton's Dylan Gordon scores 30 in win

Boys basketball, Southern Fulton 77, Chestnut Ridge 70: In just its second game of the year, Southern Fulton was put to the test on the road against one of the top District 5 Class 3A teams, and it passed with flying colors. The Indians put three in double figures to earn a narrow Sideling Hill League win.
Senior Dylan Gordon led the Indians (2-0, 1-0 SHL), exploding for 30 points - just two shy of his career high. Gordon capped off his night with a double-double by pulling down 12 rebounds. He also added four assists.
Chase Varner put up another double-digit performance with 13 points and led the team with four steals. Carl Potter scored 13 points, and Branden Lynch added nine.

Boys basketball: Shalom Christian’s Jonah Stains just keeps piling on the points. In a 67-58 Mason-Dixon Christian Conference win over Faith Christian, Stains scored 32 points on 10 field goals and 9-for-9 free-throw shooting. He drained three 3-pointers.
After spending most of last year coming off the bench, Chance Hawbaker had a stellar effort to start the season in McConnellsburg’s 53-35 win over Southern Huntingdon. Despite going 5-for-16 from the line, Hawbaker finished with a game-high 19 points. Chase Novak had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Spartans (1-0, 1-0 Sideling Hill/1-0 Inter-County Conference).
Despite suffering a 59-51 loss to Northern Bedford in Sideling Hill/Inter-County Conference action, Forbes Road junior Brycen Hohman had a breakout game, finishing with a career-high 17 points to go along with seven rebounds.
