Everett 57, Forbes Road 32 >> Turnovers proved to be a big problem for Forbes Road in a loss to Everett in the consolation game of the Claysburg-Kimmel Tournament.

“Turnovers killed us tonight; more than half of their points came from layups,” Cardinals coach Trent Black said. “We’re young, but we’re working and eventually will get there. We should have (Aaron) Schepis back for Monday, so that should help. We played hard; we just have to be more aggressive.”

Forbes Road (2-6) was even with the Warriors after the first quarter, but went on to score just 13 points over the next two frames. Everett had 16 points in both the second and third.

Brycen Hohman led the Cardinals with 10 points, and Matt Brown had seven points and five rebounds.
