BASEBALL: Thursday's roundup

SOUTHERN FULTON 6, SOUTHERN HUNTINGDON 1 >> Southern Fulton extended its win streak to nine games with a Sideling Hill/Inter-County Conference victory over Southern Huntingdon.

Trent Rider threw a gem, scattering three hits and allowing only one run, which was unearned. He struck out 12 and walked none.

"The first time we played Southern Huntingdon (11-3, 8-3 SHL), they were missing two starters who are two of their best hitters," Indian coach Dustin Fischer said. "They had them back tonight, and they were the best team we've played all year. Rider also pitched the best game I've ever seen him throw. His breaking ball and his fastball were both just on."

The Indians (14-2, 12-1 SHL, 10-1 ICC) continued to hit the ball well, racking up 11 hits, including doubles from Dylan Gordon, Dillan Lashley, Rider and Branden Lynch. Gordon finished 4-for-4 with an RBI.
