SOUTHERN FULTON 16-6, EVERETT 1-3 >> Southern Fulton used one big inning to end the first game of a Sideling Hill/Inter-County Conference against Everett early (16-1 in 4 innings), then won a closer game, 6-3.

Trent Rider allowed two hits and struck out 10 in the first game and Zach Clark earned the win in the second for the Indians (9-2, 7-1 SHL, 6-1 ICC).

SF coach Dustin Fischer said, "Trent gave up a leadoff homer, then he took over. He struck out 10 of the 12 outs he got. We scored 13 runs on 10 hits in the fourth inning and had eight straight hits to end it. In the second game, we just kind of cruised through."

Rider also went 3-for-4 with five RBIs in the opener, Connor Litton was 3-for-4 and Dylan Gordon and Dillan Lashley each had two hits. In the second game, Tristan Douglas was 3-for-4 with a run knocked in.

EPHRATA 10 , WAYNESBORO 1 >> Waynesboro managed just two hits and committed four errors in a non-league loss to Ephrata.

The Indians (4-6) scored their lone run of the game in the first inning when Austin Hanshew drove in Cody Cline with a double. Sawyer Duffey was the only other player to register a hit for Waynesboro.

"We're not playing our best ball right now," Waynesboro coach Greg Chandler said. "We're still making too many costly errors that are allowing runs to score."

Zach Kober pitched two innings of scoreless relief for Waynesboro.
