WAYNESBORO 6, CENTRAL YORK 2 >> Waynesboro used one big inning and a quality start from Clayton Wolfe to hand Central York a non-league defeat and even its record at 2-2.
Wolfe tossed a complete game, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out three.
In the sixth, facing a 2-1 deficit, the Indians came up with a five-run outburst. With the bases loaded, Sawyer Duffey stroked a two-run single and Francisco Maya followed with double to rightfield that scored two more runs.
Waynesboro coach Greg Chandler said, "It was just a good win; we're plucking away. Wolfe gave us a solid pitching performance when we needed it, because we have one pitcher sick and another hurt."

"We gave them five unearned runs in the first four innings," Cardinal coach Randy Gelvin said. "Our starting pitching was good enough to win, but we didn't make the plays. We didn't play defense and we didn't hit."
Forbes Road (1-3) committed eight errors. Brock Broadwater hit a double for the Cardinals, while Colton Mowry had three hits for the Hornets.

Darius Barber was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs, while Spencer Propst had two hits and three RBIs. Also for the Blazers (2-1, 2-1 MDCC), winning pitcher Austin Garcia had three hits, and Aaron McBeth, Conner Chapman and Jackson Park each had two hits.
