P.O. Honor Roll


LIZA ERNST, Chambersburg girls lacrosse: Earnst scored the game-winning goal against Central Dauphin East with four seconds left in the game to secure Chambersburg’s first win of the season, and a hat trick of her own.

CAM FLINN, Chambersburg baseball: Flinn aided the Trojans in their second win of the season with a complete game shutout over State College, in which he allowed just four hits. Chambersburg won 1-0.

JACE HOPPLE, Chambersburg boys lacrosse: Hopple netted a hat trick and added four assists for the Trojans in their first win of the season in an 11-4 Mid Penn Conference victory over Central Dauphin East.

LEXY LEEDY, Chambersburg softball: Leedy drove in three runs for the Lady Trojans in an 18-5 Mid Penn Commonwealth victory over Cedar Cliff.

CARLOS MANCILLA, Mercersburg Academy baseball: Mancilla was the Blue Storm’s biggest threat at the plate Sunday in a MAPL doubleheader. He went 2-for-2 against Blair in Game 1, with a home run and 3 RBIs. In Game 2, he went 1-3, knocking in another 3 runs.

CELINA MERCHANT, Southern Fulton track & field: Merchant claimed the 100 and 300 hurdles twice this week, first in a tri-meet against Northern Bedford and Juniata Valley, and again against Bellwood-Antis and Tussey Mountain. She also claimed the long jump in the meet at Tussey Mountain.

JORDAN PIZZARRO, Greencastle-Antirm girls track & field: Pizzarro claimed three events in the Blue Devils’ loss to Boiling Springs. She took first in the 100, 200 and 400 for a complete sweep of the sprints.

KAITLIN PROVARD, Cumberland Valley Christian girls soccer: Provard had four points in the Blazers' 4-0 shutout over Calvary. Provard had two assists and a goal of her own in the win.

JAKE RIST, Mercersburg Academy baseball: Rist threw a three-inning shutout over Blair as the Blue Storm piled on a 15-0 MAPL win. He struck out seven, with just two hits, and finished with a 0.67 WHIP. Rist is now 3-0 on the season.

DYLAN SANDERS, James Buchanan baseball: Sanders sailed a three-run home run in the Rockets' narrow 12-11 win over West Perry. Sanders also hit a home run in JB's loss to Boiling Springs.

CHASE VARNER, Southern Fulton track & field: Varner captured the 800 and was a part of the 4x800 and 4x400 relay races in the Indians' tri-meet split against Northern Bedford and Juniata Valley. In SF's tri-meet against Bellwood-Antis and Tussey Mountain, Varner won the 1,600, the 800 and anchored the winning 4x800 relay team.

PAYTON WATKINS, Forbes Road softball: Watkins smacked in the game-winning run with an RBI single in the eighth inning against Tussey Mountain. Her walk-off single granted the Cardinals a 7-6 win over the SHL/ICC foe.
