H.S. Highlights: Franklin-Fulton, April 7

The Chambersburg boys volleyball team earned a big win on the road Thursday night with surprising ease.

The Trojans played at Central Dauphin and took down the Rams in three games, pushing their record to 2-1 and 2-0 in the Mid Penn Commonwealth Division.

“We had a lot of contributors and it was a good team win,” Chambersburg coach Marta Cummings said.

The Trojans won big in the first game, 25-17, then captured a couple of tight ones, 25-23 and 25-22.

“We were able to finish strong in games two and three, even though they were close games,” Cummings said. “The guys were determined and showed a lot of fight during the match. It was a good win.”

Riley Washington had eight kills and four blocks to lead Chambersburg, while Aaron Myers and Dalton Strite each had seven kills. Strite also came up with 14 digs and three aces, Ian Patterson made 22 assists and Will Gerhart had 12 digs.
