AVERY BARLEY, Chambersburg boys swimming: Barley claimed a pair of top-10 finishes at the Mid Penn Conference championships, taking third in the 100 backstroke (53.83) and seventh in the 200 IM (2:03.47).

IAN GELSINGER, Greencastle-Antrim boys basketball: Gelsinger tallied 13 points against No. 2 Reading in a first-round loss in the District 3 Class AAAA tournament, aiding his team in a dogfight with a tough opponent.

JACOB GREENWOOD, Chambersburg boys swimming: Greenwood placed second in the 200 freestyle (1:45.50) and third in the 500 free (4:51.37) at the Mid Penn Conference championships, helping the Trojans in a 10th-place finish, the highest placement of any local team.

RYAN HEGE, James Buchanan boys basketball: Hege scored a game-high 17 points and added 16 rebounds in the Rockets' loss to Lancaster Catholic. Hege finished the season averaging 12 points per game.

MEGHAN HIRNEISEN, Greencastle-Antrim girls basketball: Hirneisen scored 13 points against Fleetwood in the first round of the District 3 Class AAA tournament, adding eight rebounds, three assists and four steals.

ALLY HOFFMANN, Fannett-Metal girls basketball: After a 13-game losing streak, Fannett-Metal ended its season on a high note, thanks in large part to Hoffmann, who scored 21 points in the Tigers' overtime win over Chestnut Ridge, including all eight of her team's points in OT.

SLATER LAIRD, Mercersburg Academy wrestling: At 195, Laird had a pin in 5:44 that gave Mercersburg the lead for good against Saint James in the Independent Parochial School League championship, a 45-30 win.

SARAH LYMAN, Mercersburg Academy girls basketball: Lyman tallied a career-high 28 points in the Blue Storm's Mid-Atlantic Prep League tournament semifinal win over Lawrenceville, and completed a double-double with 13 rebounds. In the MAPL final, Lyman added another 14 points to advance her season average to 10 points per game. She also had nine rebounds in Mercersburg's loss to Blair in the championship game.

CARTER VAN SCYOC, Shippensburg boys basketball: Van Scyoc tied a team-high 12 points against Central York on Wednesday in a first-round loss in the District 3 Class AAAA tournament, thanks to a 6-for-7 performance from the line. He also scored five points against Red Lion.

TEAGAN STAVER, Shippensburg boys basketball: Staver tied a career-high 17 points in Shippensburg's win over Red Lion to advance in the District 3 Class AAAA tournament. He was perfect at the line, sinking 6 of 6 shots.

MOLLY TAYLOR, Mercersburg Academy girls basketball: Taylor scored 24 points in the Blue Storm's loss to Blair in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League championship game, including six 3-pointers. She scored eight points in the tournament semifinal.

MALEA TRUAX, Forbes Road girls basketball: Truax was the spark the Cardinals needed to overcome a four-point deficit in overtime of a game against Johnstown Christian, which meant either playoffs, or the end of their season. She drained a 3-pointer with two minutes left in OT that led to a 62-59 win. Truax had 13 points in the win.
