Beginning in 1992, the league formerly known as the YCIAA became the York Area Interscholastic Athletic Association, where athletes from York and Adams counties came together to compete. Then, in 2004 the same league made a slight change to its name, becoming the York Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association.
