Dover's 'TriathaThon' to benefit Hill, Josey, Arevalo families

Dover Area High School will be hosting a 'TriathaThon' on April 30 to benefit the families of Maddie Hill, Marcus Josey and Ryan Arevalo, who are all battling Leukemia or cancer.

Hill is a Dover graduate who is fighting Leukemia for a third time and is the inspiration behind the motto, 'Fight Like Hill.' Josey is a senior at Northeastern who is also battling Leukemia and Arevalo is a third grader at Dover Elementary School, who is recovering from a recent fight with brain cancer.

The event, which was organized by friends, students and staff at Dover, will benefit the three families as they pay for medical treatment.

A 5K race will begin at 9 a.m. with an awards ceremony following at 10:30 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in six different age brackets. The course, which starts and finishes at Dover Area High School, is entirely on paved roads. Registration packets and event t-shirts will be available on race day.
