Gifs: Dramatic night in YAIAA hoops

It was a dramatic night in boys and girls YAIAA basketball on Wednesday. Here is a quick recap of the notable action that took place on the court.

It was a battle of two Division II girls basketball heavy weights in Glen Rock. A low scoring contest between Susquehannock and York Suburban changed gears in the second half. The scoring opened up after a big three-pointer by Tyler Williams to end the third quarter. Williams finished the game with 11 points, but her clutch shot from beyond the arc swung the game's momentum in Susquehannock's favor and helped galvanizer her team to an important late season win.

Evan Springer was hot in the fourth quarter for Eastern York, so when he threw up a game-winning three there was a good chance it would fall and Eastern would upset Northeastern. However, things didn't quite go that way. Springer's last second shot hit the back of the rim and bounced out allowing Northeastern to leave with a 71-69. Springer finished the game with 20 points and 14 of which came in the game's final quarter.
