A great race has been in store this season in YAIAA Division II girls' basketball.

More specifically, the competition for the top spot is currently between Susquehannock and York Suburban, with West York not far behind.

Most knew this would be a wide open division entering the season -- defending champion West York lost key players Kari Lankford and Emily Wood while York Suburban was looking to take the next step under second-year coach Jess Barley.

Sure enough the Bulldogs have come slightly back to the pack, the Trojans have continued their development and Susquehannock has proven to be one of the big surprises this season in both YAIAA boys' and girls' basketball.
