Vote: YAIAA boys' Athlete of the Week

It’s been a hot start to the season for the Northeastern boys’ basketball team.

The squad has jumped out to a 6-0 start. On Friday, they won at York Suburban 84-41. The Bobcats entered the contest winning by an average of 24.6 points per game and that statistic continues to balloon after their dominant performance.

Northeastern features a balanced attack and Friday was no different. While scoring 84 points on the evening, Northeastern was led by Kobe Nwandu's 16 points. The team also go double-figure efforts from Donovian Maxfield (14 points) and Jeff Reynolds (13 points).

Speaking of uplifting wins, the Spring Grove Rockets got one of their own on Friday with an 84-74 overtime victory at William Penn.

It was the first win for Spring Grove over William Penn since the 2001-02 season. The team is hoping to make a push in YAIAA Division I this season and beating perennial District 3 power William Penn is a good palce to start.
