Poll: YAIAA girls' Athlete of the Week | Oct. 12-Oct. 18


With the YAIAA regular seasons coming to a close, the crowning of divisional champions comes with the territory. That or soon-to-be divisional champions.

Most have in fact been clinched, with the exception of girls’ volleyball. Here’s a list of the division winners on the girls’ side and how things could shake out on the court in the coming days.

Girls’ Tennis

Division I: Dallastown clinched outright

Division II: Delone Catholic clinched outright

Girls’ cross country

Division I: Red Lion and Dallastown co-champs

Division II: York Suburban clinched outright

Division III: Delone Catholic clinched outright

Girls’ soccer

Division I: Central York clinched outright

Division II: Susquehannock clinched outright

Division III: York Catholic clinched outright

Field Hockey

Division I: Dallastown clinched outright

Division II: Gettysburg has clinched outright

Division III: Berm has clinched outright

Girls’ volleyball

Division I: 12 matches. Central York leads at 10-0. Red Lion is 9-1. The two teams meet October 20th at Red Lion with division title on line.

Division II: 14 matches. Susquehannock leads at 11-0, York Suburban is second at 9-2, West York third at 9-3. Matches: Susquehannock travels to Suburban on Monday.

Division III: 12 matches. Delone leads at 9-0, Hanover is 9-1. The two teams meet Oct. 22nd at Delone, in what will be the final match of regular season for each squad.
