Some of us are really excited for the league playoffs to start, so we took an early peek at what the brackets would look like if the playoffs started today. Obviously there are still a few weeks left in the season, so matchups will change, but it's never too early to speculate. Check out the postseason brackets for soccer, field hockey and girls volleyball below.

Boys soccer

The best part about the league playoffs is that we get to see matchups between teams that wouldn't play each other during the regular season. Biglerville and Susquehannock play each other early next week, but a Dallastown-Bermudian Springs matchup would be very intriguing. The Canners and Eagles could still switch spots of course. And what about a potential semifinal matchup of Dallastown and Gettysburg? Yes please.

Girls soccer

A rematch of last season's 1-0 first round game between York Catholic and Susquehannock would be entertaining. The upstart Rockets would get a chance to knock off Dover, and the bracket would allow for a potential rematch of last season's Dallastown vs. Central York title game.

Girls volleyball

Red Lion and York Suburban went to five games in the first round last season. A young Nighthawks squad would get a taste of the league playoffs, and a potential Delone-Hanover or Delone-Central semifinal matchup would be one to watch.

Field hockey

The only shame about the field hockey bracket is that several solid teams such as Central York, Red Lion and West York would miss out in this case. But how fun would it be seeing the Bermudian-New Oxford rivalry play out in the semifinals and a battle of two of the best teams in the district - Dallastown and Gettysburg - on the other side? This could be the most entertaining postseason of the four sports. There is so much talent there.
