Thursday, September 16, 2015 will live in infamy in YAIAA field hockey lore for good reason. The league ended the day with an aggregate shutout. The winners scored 35 goals and the losers...zero!

Let's take a look into the numbers of this oddity.

We had four games end in 2-0 shutouts: Kennard-Dale over West York, Delone Catholic over Biglerville, New Oxford over Central York and South Western over Dover.

We had a 3-0 final as Littlestown beat Fairfield.

We also had a pair of 7-0 winners as Bermudian Springs beat Hanover and Red Lion defeated Spring Grove.

The most lopsided? Gettysburg's 10-0 drubbing of York Suburban.

We can even add in yesterday's lone YAIAA field hockey contest with Dallastown's 7-0 win over Northeastern and that total grows to 42-0 over a 2-day span.
