Who’s ready for high school sports? GameTimePA is, with the 2015 high school sports season officially underway, and the launch of our Athlete of the Week polls for the fall semester.

On the girls’ volleyball court, Delone Catholic is back at it, seeking a fourth-straight YAIAA championship.

In girls’ soccer, a deep and talented field returns. Teams to watch include Central York, Dallastown, South Western, Northeastern, Dover, Susquehannock, Gettysburg, York Catholic, Delone Catholic and Fairfield.

Speaking of deep, YAIAA Division II cross country brings back a talented field as well. Seven of the top-10 finishers at last year's YAIAA championship were from Division II, and two more were from smaller Delone Catholic -- which breaks any notion that bigger is better.

And girls’ tennis is the one sport that has gotten some meaningful action under its belt. And with all the preseason prognostications, Dallastown High School looks to be strong once again.
