Can the Kennard-Dale girls’ lacrosse team win a District 3 championship? Of course it can.

The Rams are seeded No. 1 in this year’s District 3 bracket, and have advanced to this Tuesday’s quarterfinals round, where they’ll face a quality No. 5-seeded Manheim Township squad at 7 p.m. at Hershey High School.

The Susquehannock girls’ lacrosse team also continues its successful season, as the No. 2-seeded Warriors find themselves in Tuesday’s quarterfinals as well. Susquehannock will take on No. 3 Hempfield at 5 p.m. in Hershey.

In the District 3 softball tournament, No. 7-seeded Central York will hope to make some noise in the Class AAAA bracket when the Panthers host No. 10 Chambersburg at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the opening round. Joining the Panthers in the Class AAAA bracket is No. 15-seeded Dallastown, which will travel to Daniel Boone for a 4:30 p.m. contest on Tuesday.

The Class AAA brackets has a number of YAIAA competitors - No. 7 Littlestown, No. 8 Kennard-Dale, No. 13 Spring Grove and No. 15 Susquehannock. Fairfield and Delone Catholic are the other YAIAA teams taking the field, seeded No. 9 and No. 1, respectively, in Class AA.
