What a game when Northeastern hosted Central York

Yes, it was one of those boys' basketball games we circled when the season started. Defending YAIAA Division I champion Central York vs. up-and-coming Northeastern, rival schools separated by a creek.

The house was packed and loud with fans and students from both schools. It was definitely the best atmosphere I have seen this season and although the outcome was a seven-point Bobcats' win, it seemed much closer.

Both teams had four players score in double figures. For the Panthers, it was Charlie Gingrich (14), Sam Saxton (13), Brandon Shaffer (11) and Jared Wagner (10). The Bobcats had Kobi Nwandu (17), DeAireus Brown (16), Jeff Reynolds (13) and Donovian Maxfield (12) in doubles.

The thing was every time Central rallied to cut the gap to less than five, Northeastern dropped a 3-pointer and the Bobcats hit nine from beyond the arc for the game, led by Reynolds, who dropped three 3-pointers off the bench.
