Poll: YAIAA girls' Athlete of the Week | Dec. 29-Jan. 3

Forty-six points.

That’s how many Delone Catholic’s Maddie Comly scored in her team’s 68-66 overtime defeat to Bishop Guilfoyle last week.

Unreal and clearly a staggering number. Yet she wasn’t the only one who stepped up for her team this past week.

Hannah Laslo of York Catholic also got in on the act, dropping the game-winning free throws in her team’s 60-58 overtime victory over Berks Catholic in the Central York Holiday Tournament. The night before, Laslo finished with a team-high 19 points in the Fighting Irish’s 66-53 win over Susquehannock.

And while West York rolled to a tournament title in the York Suburban holiday tournament, Emily Wood garnered MVP of the two-day event, while finishing with 36 combined points in separate Bulldogs victories.
