It was a week of milestones in YAIAA basketball. Specifically for an elite scorer in the boys' league.
That would be Ryan Beck of the Dover Eagles. Beck joined the 1,000-point scorer’s club and had a handful of other impressive offensive efforts as the Eagles have gotten off to a 5-3 start to the year.
"It means a lot," said Dover head coach Brian Schmoyer on Beck's feat. "Ryan has earned all the accolades he's got. He's one of the hardest workers we've had here at Dover. I think it's something he's earned in the offseason with all of his hard work and dedication."
The William Penn boys also played a powerhouse program this past week, as the Chester Clippers came to town. Sure enough, William Penn - a talented team in its own right - battled it out. In the end, the Bearcats fell short, however, losing 49-48.
