What stood out during the first week of the girls high school basketball season?

The Dallastown Wildcats, who won the Hempfield Tip-Off Tournament, then grabbed a 55-50 victory Wednesday over Central. The Wildcats entered the season viewed as a strong team and did nothing to dismiss that notion in Week 1 of the season.

Also, the New Oxford girls forcing 55 turnovers in their Tip-Off Tournament championship, with wins over Gettysburg and York Suburban.

And during the week, York Suburban picked up an upset 57-47 victory over Northeastern.
