Fox's University of the Sciences shocks Drexel

Red Lion graduate Michael Fox is currently nursing a knee injury, his father John Fox said this week, but his new basketball team made its way to ESPN after shocking Drexel on a last-second shot.

Fox's University of the Sciences, an NCAA Division II school in Philadelphia, upset Drexel, 54-52, and became the first such program to win at a Division I school this season. The winning shot came on a 3-pointer from senior guard Garret Kerr with two seconds left. Kerr scored a game-high 27 points to fuel the upset.

As for Fox, a 6-foot-6 freshman, he played four games and scored a point before his injury. The 1,000-point career scorer at Red Lion chose the Philadelphia college so he could play basketball while majoring in pharmacy.
