Eight Red Lion athletes sign to play in college


Red Lion High School held a college signing ceremony this week and eight Lion seniors committed to play NCAA athletics.

Basketball star Mike Fox is pictured above signing to play at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

Two members of Red Lion's girls' track and field team committed to colleges. School javelin record holder Amanda Myers will throw for Millersville University. Teammate Cassidy Barshinger will run at Lock Haven University.

Alex Keller will play football for Randolph Macon College. Lacrosse player Matt Wanbaugh will head to Arcadia University. Softball pitcher Katie Shultz plans to play at Harford Community College. Girls lacrosse standout Sierra Donovan will continue her career at West Virginia Wesleyan College and Devan Horka is heading to Albright College to play women's basketball.
