West York's Allee Ilgenfritz earns pair of NCAA accolades

West York grad Allee Ilgenfritz made the most of the final week of her first collegiate regular lacrosse season at La Salle University.

The former Bulldog notched a team-high seven goals during the week, three at George Washington and a career-best four at George Mason, helping the Explorers earn a pair of wins and a berth in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Conference tournament.

Those efforts helped Ilgenfritz pick up two awards, the A-10 Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, as well as the WomensLax.com National Rookie of the Week.

Ilgenfritz capped an outstanding first season with 17 goals and one assist in 15 games, five of which she started. Her 12 goals during Atlantic 10 play were the best of any freshman in the conference.

She is joined at La Salle by a pair of Kennard-Dale grads, freshman Nicole Black, who was forced to redshirt because of injury, along with sophomore Katie Fonte, who appeared in six games and scored four goals.
