Northeastern's Autumn Lau an NAIA national champion

Northeastern grad Autumn Lau capped her collegiate basketball career in style as a member of the Oklahoma City University squad that captured the NAIA national championship on March 25.

Lau came off the bench to play 27 minutes and scored six points in the 80-76 championship game win over Freed-Hardeman. She added six rebounds - four on the offensive glass - dished two assists and blocked a shot in the win. Her basket put the Stars up 76-74 with 47 seconds remaining in the contest.

The senior, who played at Coker College and at St. Francis, before transferring to Oklahoma City prior to the 2013-14 campaign, averaged 11.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game this season.

Lau had her two best scoring games against Oklahoma Baptist. In January she poured in a season-high 28 points, and scored 25 in a March 1 contest between the two schools.
