Official schedule for this weekend's YAIAA diving and swimming championships

Official word from the YAIAA, the swimming and diving championships schedule, originally slated for Thursday through Saturday at Central York, has been moved to Saturday in its entirety because of the winter storm. Safety is the league's primary concern.

Read on for times and other details.

Diving competition has been postponed to Saturday at 9 a.m., with warm-ups starting and doors opening for spectators at 8 a.m.

The new swimming schedule is similar to districts as follows: The boys will compete in their first of two sessions beginning at 1:30 p.m., with warm-ups starting and spectators entering at 1 p.m.

The girls' first session will commence at 3:30 p.m., with warm-ups starting and spectators entering at 3 p.m.

The boys' second session will start at 5:30 p.m., with warm-ups starting and spectators entering at 5 p.m.

The girls' second session will start at 7:30 p.m. with warm-ups starting and spectators entering at 7 p.m.

Central has made its gym available for the swimmers to rest on sleeping bags and pillows. Central asks that visitors respect the facility, and not participate in activities other than sleeping or resting in the gym.

Of note: The spectator gallery will be cleared after each session. Spectators will be required to purchase a ticket for each session they want to attend.

There will be updates if needed.
