Towson's football program made its first appearance in the NCAA Division I Football Subdivision championship this past season, and one of its new recruits is York Suburban senior Matt Kauffman.

A senior lineman for the Trojans, Kauffman recently signed his letter of intent to join the Tigers. A two-way lineman, Kauffman helped Suburban go 5-5 last fall. YAIAA coaches voted him to the second-team offense on the All-YAIAA Division II team.

One of his season highlights included breaking up a two-point conversion pass to give the Trojans a 21-19 win at Fairfield.
