What a game for West York grad Olivia Manges

West York grad Olivia Manges, shown in this 2011 photo with the Bulldogs, set a Lycoming College record with nine 3-pointers in one game on Feburary 1st.

Her career-high 32 points keyed Lycoming's 84-67 win over Commonwealth Conference foe Widener. She finished the game an amazing 9-of-12 from behind the arc.

Surprisingly, Manges, didn't hit her first 3-pointer until 8:47 remained in the first half. She then added eight more over the next 27 minutes, becoming the first Warrior women to score at least 30 points in a game since Lyndy LeVan scored 30 against Centenary in 2002. Lycoming's previous record for 3-pointers in a game was six.

"Honestly, that wasn't my goal going into the game, but it feels pretty good (to break the record)," Manges said on the Lycoming sports' website. "My shot had been a littly iffy the last few games, but I felt really relaxed and focused (Saturday). Every shot that left my hand felt good."

In other Lycoming women's basketball news, New Oxford grad Julia Antonelli (No. 15 with the Colonials at left) notched back-to-back 20-point, 10-rebound performances and earned her school-record fourth Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week award.

Antonelli hit 58 percent (19-of-33) of her shots and averaged 21.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks in a key pair of Commonwealth Conference wins for the Warriors, including Lycoming's first win over Widener since 2009.

She moved into seventh on the Warriors' career scoring list with 1,086 points.
