PSAC swimming championships coming to York

The 2014 PSAC swimming championships will be held in York, February 20-23 at the Graham Aquatic Center. This will be the first year the terrific York YMCA facility on N. Newberry Street has hosted the meet that was held at Cumberland Valley High School for several years.

Although there are no PSAC schools in York County, the YAIAA will be well-represented at this competition, starting with reigning PSAC Men's Swimmer of the Year, Bradley Strathmeyer of West York, who is a sophomore at West Chester.

Also on hand will be Dallastown grad Julie Brown, a senior at Shippensburg, that owns school records and somehow keeps getting better. Former Wildcats teammate Jen Flinchbaugh and York Catholic grad Tara Yohe will also represent the Raider women. On the Ship mens' side, Dallastown has alums Braxton Erne and Jake Dunnigan, along with Chris Bankert from Spring Grove.

The Janosky sisters, Christina and Aniella from Dover, will be there with their IUP teammates. Former Eagles teammate Bree Link represents Millersville.

Central alum Jade Arganbright is on the California of PA team. Dallastown's Teresa Casolo swims for Clarion, and at Lock Haven, Spring Grove's Meghan Kuhn is on the team.

This should be a great few days at the Graham. I am looking forward to it.
