New Oxford cheerleaders heading to Orlando


New Oxford is heading to a competition held by the Universal Cheerleaders Association next month in Orlando, Fla. ESPN and ESPN2 will broadcast the National High School Cheerleading Championship on Feb. 8 and 9 from the Walt Disney World Resort.

New Oxford recently entered two national stunting competitions held by video entry. The Colonials won first place in a co-ed category, which was entered by Dallas Keeney and Amber Meckley. They were judged against 20 other teams from across the country. The Colonials' all-girls' entry of McKayla Wagaman, Jordan Stevens, Tara Brady and Kaitlyn Groft placed in a tie for fifth among 28 teams. Full results can be found by clicking here.
