Freshman Elizabeth Garrison, a Susquehannock graduate, had no problems adjusting to volleyball on the collegiate level.

This past season -- her rookie campaign -- she helped Muhlenberg College reach the championship game of the Centennial Conference just three years after the Mules tied for last in the conference.

The Mules beat McDaniel in the CC semifinals, before falling to Johns Hopkins in the title tilt.

Garrison saw playing time in all but one match for the Mules, whose 20-12 overall record was their first 20-win season since 2001 (the team was 8-2 in the conference).

She finished second on the team with 246 digs and 2.18 digs per game and recorded 36 service aces (fourth on the team). Garrison saved a career-high 18 digs in a five-game win against Millsaps.

Garrison isn't a stranger to success. Before her senior season at Susquehannock in 2012, the Warriors were bumped from Division II to Division I, where they promptly claimed the division title. The Warriors advanced to the District 3 Class AAA quarterfinals that same year, losing to eventual champion Cumberland Valley.
