Dover Eagles soar at Altoona XC Invite


Dover's cross country teams participated in the Altoona Mt. Lion XC Invitational last weekend and the Eagles had a terrific showing.

In the girls' competition, Dover finished third overall out of 23 teams, with four girls placing in the top 30. The boys were sixth overall with two runners finishing in the top 10.

Looking at the results posted on penntrackxc.com, Eagles' runners finished as follows:

Girls: Andrea Dawson (14th, 20:46.27); Shea Beierschmitt (21st, 21:03.91); Alysha Sweitzer (25th, 21:14.73); Alyssa Lawton (28th, 21:22.83; Sarah Kistner (37th, 21:37.86); Emily Reynolds (97th, 25:05.76).

Boys: Danty Pagan (6th, 17:05.47); Gabe Lloyd (10th, 17:16.67; Beau Ambrose (31st, 18:07.60); Eli Meiler (36th, 20:59.97); Clayton Shumaker (78th, 19:35.60; Nate Stauffer (116th, 20:44.79); Kyle Horn (121st, 20:57.12; Chris Kornbau (126th, 21:06.28);

The Dover girls are unbeaten in YAIAA Division I races, while the boys are in second place in Division II.
