YAIAA golf: midseason power rankings

Many YAIAA sports are approaching -- or already have reached -- the midway point of their fall seasons. With that in mind, let's revisit the balance of power in the YAIAA by sport.

Give us your take on these teams in the comments section below. Next up is golf.

1. Dallastown (preseason rank: 1) -- The Wildcats have remained ahead of the field in Division I of the YAIAA, so they remain tops in these rankings.

2. West York (3) -- The Bulldogs recently clinched the Division II title and rewarded coach Bill Ackerman with a bath.

3. Central York (2) -- The Panthers' bid to challenge Dallastown took a hit with the loss of Evan Johnson, who moved out of state. Still, this Division I school brought back more than enough to remain the No. 2 school in that division.

4. York Catholic (5) -- Don't be fooled by the Irish playing out of the small-school Division III. This part of the league is home to state champion Isaiah Logue, but York Catholic has shown it has strength in numbers and leads the pack collectively.

5. Eastern York (NR) -- The Golden Knights have made strides and were West York's top challenger in Division II.
